August 2008 5CRC Ballot

Officially deciding the 5-Color Chairperson:

Exhibit 1: Proposed 5-Color Invitational Rules:

  1. Frequency:
    The 5-Color invitational tournament is held every two years at the location of the previous winner's choice.
  2. Invitations:
    Only players with official 5-Color invitations are permitted to participate in the 5-Color invitational tournament. The previous winner MAY NOT play in the tournament. Players may obtain invitations from the following criteria:
    1. Past two 5-Color Worlds winners
    2. Winners of two "Invitational tournaments." Winning one of these events gets you an invite. The tournament locations are chosen by the public and approved by the 5CRC via normal voting rules.
    3. Four players of the past winner's choice.
    4. Kurt Hahn is always invited.
  3. Formats:
    The winner of the previous 5-Color invitational determines what formats are played at the next one. The only requirement is at least two rounds of 5-Color play. Any other three formats may be chosen, for four total formats. Matches are played best two out of three.
  4. Points:
    The player with the most match points at the end of the event is declared the winner.
  5. Winner:
    The winner of the 5-Color Invitational may create a card to be part of the 5-Color card pool. The card must be approved by normal voting rules of the 5CRC before becoming official.

5-Color Worlds News

5-Color Worlds 2008 will be held at College of Dupage in Glen Ellyn, IL close to Chicago. We will be playing in the Student Resource Center Building - Cafeteria Area on Sept 20th.

Cost: $25
Prizes: TBD based on attendance. At least one guaranteed Non-Power, Non-Dual prize, and Top-8 Promotional Card
